Professional Development: Business

 Executive/Management Effectiveness

The path to effective management is founded on skills and strategies for effective communication; leadership that directs group achievement; effective goal setting and time-management; and relaxation/stress inoculation processes. These skills are embedded in personal characteristics that can be effective at all levels of management, from executive functions to shop floor supervisor operations.
These factors are characteristic of all able managers, and can be enhanced by individual or group coaching; leadership training and mentoring; and skills-building workshops.

Business Planning and Development

Geoff supports those moving to self-employment in developing sound, sustainable business plans built on accurate skills identification, careful opportunity analysis and methodical planning. His own experience in small business management and consulting environments make him well-placed to advise small business owners.  Both Geoff and Kellene hold Certificate IV in Small Business Management.

Professional Practice in Health and Wellness Professions

Many practitioners are trained in their academic specialities, but are then faced with the pressures of managing a practice which includes bookkeeping and staff issues that are necessary to support the business.  Help with various communication, leadership, goal setting, time-management and relaxation strategies can increase effectiveness and productivity in the business and free up clinical practitioners to work with clients.
Geoff and Kellene are both experienced clinical supervisors – Geoff in areas of psychology, counselling and psychotherapy and Kellene in the fields of social work, counselling and psychotherapy.
